Dr. Amin Badr-El-Din:

Dr. Amin Badr-El-Din is Co-founder of Stock Road Farm Inc. aimed at transforming the business landscape and creating a new international platform for innovation with its first investments being in Korea. Dr Badr El Din, a citizen of both the UK and Jordan, is a globally recognized leader in international affairs, renowned as a foremost economic and energy strategist in the Middle East. As Founder and CEO of BADR Investments, he orchestrates transformative ventures that bridge worlds and shape the future. He is also Chairman of Chescor Capital, an investment banking group that that specialises in developing and financing projects and business ventures. In the last two years Chescor Capital advised on transactions totalling of over several billion.

His journey began with a powerful foundation in engineering, earning a First Class Honors BSc in Electronic Engineering and Aerodynamics from the University of London (1980), followed by an MSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. This rigorous training equipped him with the technical acumen to understand complex systems, while his innate understanding of international affairs and global finance allows him to identify and capitalize on unique opportunities.

Dr. Badr-El-Din's career is marked by a remarkable diversity of leadership roles and impactful contributions. He began in technology venture capital in the early 80s, structuring, leading and developing ventures across sectors including healthcare, energy, infrastructure, utilities, agriculture and technology, spanning North and South America, Europe, Africa, Japan, South Asia and the Middle East. As founder, Chairman, and CEO of the UAE Offsets Group, he spearheaded projects that fundamentally reshaped the UAE's economic landscape through diversification, including the development of the UAE's stock market, privatization of utilities, and ambitious international energy projects like the Dolphin Energy Project; at the time Dolphin was considered the largest multinational energy venture in the world.

In 1990/91, Dr. Badr-El-Din served on the United Nations’ Council responsible for the environment. Co-Chairing, with Eddie Rothschild, the UN Conference on "Finding Creative Mechanisms for Funding the Environment," his work led to the adoption of carbon offsets as a trading mechanism. He coined the term “Offsets” as a mechanism for both environmental and investment purposes. This work directly influenced the 1992 Rio Earth Summit.

Dr. Badr-El-Din remains actively engaged across diverse sectors, from cutting-edge IoT companies to influential educational non-profits. He serves on numerous boards, including Escondido Ventures, - a VC fund aimed at realizing a future where the internet of things, Artificial Intelligence/machine learning and life sciences help solve global challenges, JCVI (J. Craig Venter Institute) – the leader in genomic research committed to accelerating foundational scientific research to drive advances in human health and environmental sustainability, Vicunous, and previously Seeds of Peace, along with various schools and universities. He also advises senior leaders in corporations and international institutions. His commitment to addressing global challenges is evident in his founding of and investments in companies developing groundbreaking technologies for sustainable water, health, energy, and food security.

In 2025, he partnered with Brian Koo (of the LG and LS Group families) to establish Stock Farm Road, aimed at transforming the Korean business landscape and creating a new international platform for Korean innovation.
